My Story

Throughout my 42 plus years of experience as a Licensed Esthetician, both from behind the chair as well as being a product developer and educator, I have gained a great amount of  ​knowledge working with cosmetic physicians, estheticians, clinicians, franchises, and entrepreneurs in this space as well as with many prominent skin care and equipment companies in a myriad of capacities.   I've seen skin care services transform to what was once a luxury to now a necessity. From a feel-good product range to progressive, corrective, results-driven must-haves. 

I have a proven track record with advanced education, profit-driven sales and account management success in the skin care, day spa, medspa and cosmetic medicine industry. I have served as part of several senior-level teams making decisions on strategic and tactical planning, product development, business development, national account development, brand management and new product and line extension launches for some of the industry’s leading skin care companies.

 

Early in my career, I developed RejuvaSkin Medical Skin Care, one of the first pre/post laser products designed for invasive laser procedures sold exclusively to plastic surgeons and dermatologists. I also had the privilege of being the Lead Medical Esthetician for The Chief of Plastic Surgery at Cedar-Sinai in Beverly Hills.  As a consultant  over the years I have assisted in opening over 100 medical spas and hundreds of skin care clinics/spas.  I have clinically trained thousands of Clinicians, Estheticians and spa/medspa owners. I had the amazing opportunity to be on-going consultant and premier vendor to 500 plus Hand & Stone Massage & Facial Spas, the largest skin care service provider in the country, where I created the original facial program service menus, treatment protocols, and have had the privilege of personally providing on-site and on-line training for over 5000 estheticians, sales associates, and franchisees on clinical skin care, retail selling, business building, and the like throughout my 16 year relationship with them.

I am the proud co-founder/developer of ClarityRx Clinical Skin Care, Inc. created in 2003, which represents my philosophy in providing a plant-based, safe, quality, results-drive product line. We recently sold this company to a large dermatologic skin care manufacturer in February of 2019. I am a self-published, best-selling author, and a frequent contributor to trade publications, industry resources and articles. My first book, “Your Esthetics Coach, An Esthetician’s Guide To Success” reached #1 best-selling book in both the Cosmetics and Skin Care categories on Amazon the day of it’s launch and remains in the top best selling books in the skin care industry. I have been published/quoted in prestigious national magazines, newspapers, and websites such as Women’s Health, Wounds Magazine, New York Daily News, Allure Spa Magazine, Massage Magazine, MedEsthetics Magazine, Franchise News, New Beauty Magazine, The Beauty Report, Essence Magazine, Shape, InStyle and more. I am also the proud recipient of the 2017 prestigious Single Moms Planet, Entrepreneur of the Year award.
